CLASSIC.COM is the go-to hub for everything you need to price, showcase, and promote your car with confidence.
Selling a classic, exotic, or specialty car online doesn't have to be stressful. With the right tools and a smart strategy, you can connect with serious buyers and get the best possible price. This guide outlines how to get the most out of your listing on CLASSIC.COM
1. Add all the details to your Listing on CLASSIC.COM
Start with a listing on CLASSIC.COM. We provide a simple tool to add the key specs, a full image gallery, and a complete text description to provide buyers with the full details of the sale.
To help you get it right, we offer two quick-reference guides:
2. Price Your Listing with Real-time Comps
In your Listing manager, we’ll provide a real-time list of comparable market sales (ie, Comps). These recent comps are incredibly helpful for setting a competitive asking price – and even more powerful when you show them to potential buyers to validate the value of your vehicle.
Because we track listings from over 400 sources (dealers + auctions) and private sellers, Comps are updated in real time as new listings become available and previous ones sell. This means that you won’t have to worry about staying in tune with the market - we’ll do that for you.
Find Comps in the "Price" section of your Listing Manager >
3. Promote Your Listing Across Multiple Channels
Once your listing is live on CLASSIC.COM, we recommend promoting it on additional platforms to increase visibility:
- Use Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist to tap into local interest
- Share your listing on marque-specific forums or enthusiast communities (like FerrariChat, Rennlist, IH8MUD or AlfaBB) to reach passionate, informed buyers
No matter where you promote it, always direct interested buyers back to your listing on CLASSIC.COM. This gives them access to your full photo gallery, your detailed write-up, and the market data that supports your asking price - all in one place.
4. Share Your Listing with the Top Sellers
Often, dealers and industry pros know the ins and outs of specific makes and models, and could be best suited to purchase your car outright or to help you sell it as a consignment.
So who are the Top Sellers for the make and model of your car? In your Garage, we’ll provide you a short list of the Top Sellers for your specialty vehicle. Those are the sellers you’ll want to contact to get a deal done fast!
